Take Our Kids to Work Day - November 2, 2022
Take Our Kids to Work Day is an annual career exploration event, held on November 2 of this year, where Grade 9 students across Canada are asked to share a day in the life of a working professional.
Our Grade 9’s students will spend the day at the workplace of a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host, witnessing first-hand the world of work, prompting early career planning, and enabling students to make informed decisions about their future goals and endeavours.
This event also gives parents the opportunity to discuss career prospects with their children and allows the working professionals the opportunity to share knowledge, experience and advice around education, career choices and relevant skills required in today’s workplace.
Grade 9 parents/guardians, please take this opportunity to talk to your children about their potential career thoughts and see if there is a place that would be of the most interest for them to attend. There will be more information shared as we get closer to this date.
Pay School Fees Online!
Lakeland Ridge School fees have now been applied to your child’s student account. Please log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account to view and pay these fees. If your child does not stay for lunch at all during the school year contact the office at 780.416.9018 by October 14, 2022, to have the fee removed. If you have already made a payment, please check your account again for any changes/updates.
If a yearbook is desired, please add it to your cart when you pay your school fees.
Fees are due 30 days following assessment as per Administrative Procedure 505 – School and Administrative Fees.
If you are experiencing difficulty in meeting this commitment to pay fees, please contact our Business Manager, Cathy Eyben to arrange installments or review the Division’s fee waiver process on the EIPS website. The deadline for receipt of a Waiver Application is December 15, 2022. No applications will be accepted after this date.
Please check your child’s student account throughout the year for any changes, and/or additions (i.e., Optional Fieldtrips, Athletic Team Fees).
