Center Community Chat
October 15, 2023
Dear Center Community,
Lots of fall fun at Center this week. Our K students had perfect weather for their outing to Parlee farm. We ended the week with students dressed in their finest for picture day.
Students who ride the bus had an opportunity to practice a rear evacuation on Wednesday. We were proud of our students as they took the drill seriously, and will know what to do in case of an emergency on the bus.
The fall festivities continue next week when we hold our annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 21st from 1-3.
A reminder that Thursday, October 19th is a half day for all students. Students will be dismissed at 11:45. Those who pre-order a lunch online will have one sent home with their student(s).
Have a good week.
Warm Regards,
Dianna and Donna

Dear Families,
Students may have been hearing about ongoing wars despite our efforts to shield them from disturbing images and reports. Here are some resources shared in the district website that you may find helpful.
COUNSELOR"S CORNER
Dear Center Families,
Most families experience times of big change at some point or another such as moving to a new home, a parent beginning or ending a job, a separation or divorce, re-marriage or a loss in the family. When changes are on the horizon or currently happening parents are often looking for ways to support their children as they process and adjust to the change. I would like to share an article with some practical strategies for supporting kids with change from the Big Life Journal blog by, Ashley Cullins, called, “7 Ways to Help Kids Cope with Big Life Changes”. I hope you will find it helpful in supporting your children with the changes you may experience in your own families.
