November 19-25
November 19 - 25, 2023
The mission of Schaumburg Christian School is to prepare each student for a successful life through excellent academics, purpose-driven extracurriculars, and life-changing biblical instruction in a loving, Christian environment.
Serving in Action
This was a week of service at Schaumburg Christian School. Our Middle and High School students both went out into the community this week to serve our community. Being a servant is not easy, nor is it glamorous, but we are called to model Christ, and as Matthew 20:28 states: "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” One way we show our gratitude and thankfulness for Christ's sacrifice for us is to serve.
Our high school student council went out this week onto Schaumburg Rd. to clean our Adopt-A-Highway. The team started around 7am and finished around 8:30am. They cleaned a one-mile stretch of the road.
Our middle school students along with parent volunteers went to Feed My Starving Children to ensure that children all over the world receive food and nourishment.
For the past few months Bethel and SCS have been collecting items for children for Operation Christmas Child. With your help we were able to put together over 525 shoe boxes, and this week our facility was a collection point for OCC. We have received over 1,300 additional shoe boxes. These shoe boxes will be shipped and given to children all over the world.
Praise God for the spirit of serving that SCS and Bethel have.
We hope all our families have a wonderful Thanksgiving break.

Fall Giving Campaign
SCS families,
When we return from Thanksgiving break we will begin our Fall Giving Campaign for the Daniel Mark Scholarship! Every year we consider what should we raise money for, and, as you have seen, we love serving the community and our families. The Daniel Mark Scholarship is a way for us to give back to families who cannot afford private education and wish to come to SCS. We have averaged over $70,000 of scholarship money given out to families in the last five years, and we are hoping you'll partner with us to ensure that we can raise that amount next year for our families. As many of you know the Invest in Kids Act for the state of IL will sunset at the end of year, which some of our families have used. The Invest in Kids Act allowed them to attend SCS, but with that sunsetting it will be hard for them to continue next year. The Daniel Mark Scholarship is our opportunity to help families afford SCS and be part of our great family! More information regarding the DMS Fall Giving Campaign will be sent out on Wednesday.
