FROM DOAN'S DESK...
“Community is more important to learning than any technique or method”
- Ralph Peterson (Life in a Crowded Place)
Thank you to everyone who was able to come to our Back to School Night this week. Parent involvement is one of the key factors and core beliefs of the Monarch High School community. Hopefully even reading the Monarch Messenger provides a way for you to feel connected and aware of what is happening at school. I produced another video you can watch to get a sense from me directly about the importance of a school community that engages parents, students, and staff (Video Link).
I also want to plug our Booster Club and School Accountability Committees (SAC). You can find out more at the Booster Club website (Click Here). If you are interested in being a part of the SAC we would love to have you join us and get more voices involved in our school planning efforts. Please email me directly (gregory.doan@bvsd.org) to get on the SAC invitation list.
It has been a great start to the year and I am truly enjoying getting to know the MoHi community.
