Welcome Back
We hope everyone is excited for our first day of the 2023-2024 school year. As you prepare for the first day of school, I wanted to share a few reminders to help make the school year as successful as possible.
- Morning Drop off - all Kindergarten students need to be escorted to their line at the blacktop with an adult staying with them until our 8:00 am bell.
- Drop off on Saturn Blvd is for drop off only. If you are planning on parking, please use our parking lot on Coronado. This will help with the traffic flow and student safety.
- Wednesday Minimum Days - every Wednesday is a minimum day. Please see our daily schedule here.
- Walking students to class - though we understand the desire to walk your student to class, it becomes a challenge for other students. We ask that all families, give hugs good-bye at the lines and exit the campus once the teacher arrives. If you would like to speak with the teacher, please send them a message via ClassDojo or email to ensure that all students are receiving their full instructional day with the teacher.
- Dismissal time, it is very important that all students be picked up at their dismissal time. We do not have supervision for students that are picked up late. Though we understand that emergency happen, we want to make sure all of our students are safe. If you find that your family is unable to pick up your student at the dismissal time, please look into the various free afterschool opportunities that are offered.
- Social Media - This year our school will continue to use Twitter and Facebook to showcase the amazing work being done by our leaders. We have recently created an Instagram account as well. Please follow us at @emory_eagles_sd
We thank all Emory families for your support and look forward to another amazing year.
