Gators showing respect for others is something we want to show each day. You show respect in many ways every day. Respect occurs when you listen to others, play fair, use good manners, wait your turn, and treat others well. Being respectful is one of the key ingredients to being the best person you can be.

Has a librarian made a difference in your life? Have they gone above and beyond to help your community? Now's your chance to celebrate their impact by nominating them for the prestigious I Love My Librarian Award.

Up to 10 exceptional school, public, and college/university librarians will be selected to receive $5,000 in recognition of their service to their communities. They'll be honored during an award ceremony at the American Library Association's LibLearnX meeting in January 2024.

Nominations are open through Saturday, September 30, 2023

Fall pictures will be Tuesday, August 8th. Students must be in uniform for pictures. These photos will be used for the yearbook.

At the start of the school year, we request each family to update and verify important information such as address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, handbook consents, etc.

Please log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account (click here) to make any necessary changes to your family's account.

Once you log into your account, please follow these steps:

• Click on "More" on the bottom left hand side of the portal screen
• Click on "Annual Update and New Student Registration"
• Click on "Start" next to the second 23-24 line that says "Not Started"
• Click "Begin Registration"
• If you are using the app, click the three lines on the top left, click on "More", and then click on "Annual Update and New Student Registration".

This update must be completed annually.

Please be advised that the answers provided on the Annual Update for the 22-23 school year will be end dated, so it's important that you complete this update for the 23-24 school year in order to have valid information for items such as Media Release, Internet Release, Virtual Consent, etc.

Please see the flyer below to view our new CTA Goodman Spirit Wear. The attached flyer will show you the exact color options that are available to purchase. All orders are due by Friday, August 11th at 2:00 p.m. Please return your order form with cash or a check made out to CTA Goodman PTO.

The Chandler CARE Center will be registering families for holiday assistance from August 28th – September 29th. The CARE Center provides Thanksgiving food boxes with the ingredients needed to prepare a holiday meal at home in November, and toys/gifts for children 0-18 in December.

Registration IS required to participate. Register in-person at the CARE Center (777 E. Galveston St, Chandler, AZ 85225). This is a one family per household only event, please bring:

• Picture ID
• Proof of address (Chandler Residents or CUSD Families ONLY)
• Proof of school enrollment (CUSD Parent Portal) for all school-age children
• Birth certificate for all children not in school

Keep an eye out on the CARE Center’s website and social media for upcoming information about donation and volunteer opportunities!

The deadline to re-register for Free or Reduced Meals is August 29th. Families must reapply every year.

If you are able to make your tax contributions early in the year, your donation would be greatly appreciated and give us a jump start on some of our extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities include Running Club, Art Club, Choir, Theater Club, STUCO, Science Camp and may other activites.

Tax Credit Basics…

A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.

Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
