Teacher Feature
Ms. Elsner
Ms. Elsner teaches Science, Music, Drama and Dance to our grade 7 and 8 students. Here are a few fun facts about this energetic teacher, in her own words:
1) I have visited 15 countries;
2) I can speak 3 languages, English, French and Spanish (which I recently learned while in Colombia);
3) I LOVE volleyball (playing and coaching);
4) I have the opportunity to teach every student in the Elementary wing, so my favourite part of my job is getting to know all of my students.

GSA News
From Ms. Dupuis, staff rep for LEP's GSA:
"On Thursday, November 19, Lo-Ellen’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) had the pleasure of virtually listening to Vincent Bolt from SACY/ TGInnerselves. Our school’s GSA connected with Espanola High School’s GSA for the guest presentation. Vincent Bolt shared some of his own personal experiences as a trans youth. He also spoke about the Transgender Day of Remembrance which is held annually on November 20. The day is to remember the lives that were lost to anti-transgender violence and to raise awareness about the issues. Thank you to Vincent Bolt and to Espanola’s GSA for hosting this gathering and inviting us to connect virtually."
Athletics Update
OFSAA 3km Challenge and the Knights Fitness Accountability Program
These are some of the participants who are members of the Knights' Fitness Accountability Program. Leena Abdel-Dayem started the program to engage students in physical activity while many activities in schools and in the community have been halted. A new challenge is released each week, and students may participate to earn points and prizes.
With the release of OFSAA virtual challenges, we have even more challenges for students to participate in.
