Picture Retake Day
Retake Picture Day is 12/06/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 81362FF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.
Find answers to Retake Day questions here.
Fifth Grade Families: A retake of the 5th grade picture will be taken during picture retakes. If your child is in 5th grade, please have them at school for the retake if possible. We had several students absent during the first take and hoping to capture everyone.

Book Swap
We are going to have a book swap for students! Here’s how it works:
- Students bring gently used books to school to donate for the swap. This is a great time to go through your bookshelf at home and donate books you no longer want.
- Their teacher will keep track of their donation.
- It is a 1-for-1 swap, so students who bring in 3 books will get to choose 3 books (max 5). *Note: all students will get at least one book from the book swap.
- On the day of the swap, all students will get to visit the collection of books and choose at least one book.
Bring books starting next week until December 13. The book swap will be held December 14.

December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities! First recognized in 1992 by the United Nations, the day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues. Although communication is a basic human right, communication difficulties and disorders are not recognized as disabilities in some parts of the world.
Message from Coach Mason
Hello Ridgeway Families,
The year is moving along well. I am happy I get to see kids move and have fun daily.
In every class period, we will work on a physical activity skill. The primary learning theme will be a warm-up, using 2-3 activities and a cool down and mindfulness section.
Learning objectives last month:
-We have practiced different non-locomotor skills – balancing, rolling, bending, and twisting. We practiced using tumbling work, yoga, balance games, forward rolls, log rolls, one-footed challenges, balance beams, and mats for cartwheels.
Learning objectives in December:
We will start striking and volleying, using our hands to strike a ball and using implements to strike a ball. Striking includes mini golf, paddle games, volleyball skills, and baseball and softball skills.
Please remember to have your kids wear athletic shoes so they can run and move.
Sincerely,
Coach Mason
