Holiday Parties
We have been working with PTO to plan a fun-filled party for our students to celebrate the end of the first semester, the winter season, and have some fun together as a class community. This event is for students only due to space limitations.
We are encouraging students to wear Grinch and/or PJ's on the last day before the break, Thursday, December 21. Students will enjoy a DJ and dance party with their grade level in the cafeteria and then return to their classrooms to hear a Grinchy story read online by Dr. Akers while they decorate and eat a yummy cookie. If your child has a food allergy, please let your teacher know and send an alternate snack with them that day.
Cookie ingredients: Sugar, Butter, Flour, Eggs, Vanilla
Icing Ingredients: Powdered Sugar, Meringue Powder, Vanilla
*May come in contact with wheat
Our teachers have lots of games and fun planned for the day, as well - so make sure you students don't miss out and be sure to attend school all the way to December 21! Grade-level parties will occur throughout the morning and the last one will finish up at 10:45.
No lunch visitors on Thursday, December 21

Mrs. Searby is being promoted!
Our very own counselor AnnDrea Searby has been named the new Coordinator for Elementary Guidance and Counseling for CFISD!
While we are all thrilled for Mrs. Searby – and for our whole district to benefit from her knowledge and experience – of course, we are so sad to be losing Mrs. Searby at Rennell! We know that Mrs. Searby has made a lasting impact on students, staff, parents, and our community during her time at Rennell. Mrs. Searby will be going back and forth from Rennell and her new role between now and the Winter Break, after which she will be fully in her new role. So, if you would like to give her some well wishes or leave her a note, you can email her or bring something to the school between now and the winter break (even if she isn’t here that day).
The district will be providing us with a retired counselor to serve as a long-term sub at Rennell until we are able to find the perfect fit for our next Rennell counselor. As soon as we have our sub counselor's contact information, we will be sure to share that out. In the meantime, if you need assistance, you can contact our fabulous K/2/4 counselor, Cherise Garcia, no matter what grade level your child is in.
CONGRATULATIONS, MRS. SEARBY!!!!
We are SO PROUD OF YOU!
