What's Up At Marshall?
Welcome back, Thunderbirds! We are so excited to see our students and staff and have had a great first couple weeks of school. Students have been learning (or re-learning!) school expectations, getting to know their teachers, having fun with friends, and doing so many other things!
Recess tutoring has already started. If your student needs help with homework or understanding a subject, or if they need a place to go to study, recess tutoring is a great opportunity.

Staff Spotlight! - Mrs. Brown and Benelli the Thera-Pug!
Benelli is Mrs. Brown's Thera-Pug! She gets to bring him to school to interact with students and staff and make others' days a little brighter!
We asked Mrs. Brown a few questions about Benelli:
- What does a day at school look like for Benelli?
A typical day for Benelli is arriving at school around 7:30 in the morning. He first likes to go to Ms. Lowmaster’s office for treats and tricks. Then he walks around and greets some of the staff members. He gets lots of love and scratches. After coming to our office and getting everything ready for the day, he waits to be called for any special assignments. He might help calm a student who is anxious, walks others to class, greets a new student to the building, and always monitors the halls during passing period. That is his favorite job so far because he is very popular and gets lots of attention from students who want to say hello.
- How have students and staff responded to having Benelli at school so far?
Benelli has been so accepted by students and staff at Marshall, he is truly living his best Thera-Pug life. At the end of every day he goes home filled with lots of love, but also exhaustion from being Marshall’s Good Will Ambassador!
- What are some of Benelli's favorite jobs at school?
In the near future, he is looking forward to visiting some reading classes to read with students as well as help students who may have some testing anxiety or need support. Benelli is a very versatile therapy dog and is always willing to help out anyone with anything!
