At the Creek.....
October 7, 2022
Hello Rabbit Creek families,
Our staff are doing great things with students, some of which you can see in photos below. One of the things I love most about our current staff is the collaboration and teamwork amongst grade level staff and across the building. Staff in a few grade levels are sharing students to support instruction in Reading and Math, with grouping students to best support academic success. Others are collaborating across the hallways and on planning times to discuss instructional strategies and data. And, it's not uncommon to see teachers grouped together from various grade levels to gather ideas, share stories and have a laugh. We have a wonderful group of educators at Rabbit Creek!
Speaking of wonderful, congratulations to Mr. Ring for being recognized by his colleagues as the Teacher of the Month for September. Our School Business Partner, Texas Roadhouse, shared certificates and free meal coupons to use to let staff know how wonderful they are. Thank you to Texas Roadhouse and to Mr. Ring!
The background here is fitting for us on these fall-and almost winter days. Please be sure to send your children with coats and hats to keep warm on these chilly days. Light weight gloves are beginning to make their appearance, which is great to see.
Have a wonderful weekend. I hope to see many of you at next week's PTA meeting.
Ms Peterson

Roscoe's Safety Tips....
- Remember that supervision starts at 8:40 daily. Students need to stay in the car with family members until the bell rings and staff are outdoors. Families are welcome to walk to the front door and wait for the bell.
- Please drive safely whenever on Lake Otis Pkwy and on our school property. We know that families are often in a hurry to get to work/home, but safety is important at all times.
- All students and family need to enter through the front door of the school daily. If your child is running late, please make sure they come to the front of the building to check in and get a pass.

School pictures are completed and it was wonderful to see the kid’s smiling faces in class pictures this year. Individual codes to access your child’s pictures will be available soon. Just as a reminder you can still purchase memory books at ybpay.com with the Yearbook ID code of 13268823. The books are $20 each and parents can decide to personalize the book with their child’s school photo on the front, if they wish.
Please save the date: Monster Mash: Trunk or Treat will be held on October 28th in the Rabbit Creek parking lot. The event will be trick or treating along with an outside dance and picture area. More information to come in the upcoming weeks, but we know it will be tons of fun.
Thank you to everyone who ordered your RC spirit wear. We should be receiving all of the merchandise soon and will distribute them to the children in the classrooms, when they arrive.
If you haven’t joined PTA yet, please consider joining PTA through an individual ($10), family ($15) or business ($50) membership by visiting https://form.jotform.com/92304757793164 and completing our online form. The class with the most participation will receive a pizza party!
