We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Thank you to all who were able to join us for our annual Veterans Day Prayer Service on Thursday evening (see below for photos). It was a beautiful and prayerful tribute to those who have served and currently serve our country. As noted at the prayer service, each of the over 100 American flags on display in front of the school gymnasium represent a specific veteran who is in some way connected to our school community. How blessed we are to have such heroes within our community!
Each Veterans Day, as we recognize individuals for their exceptional service to our country, I am reminded of the words of St. Martin of Tours, who wrote the following:
“Lord, if your people still have need of my services, I will not avoid the toil. I have fought the good fight for a long time, yet if you bid me to continue I will do the work you entrust to me. While you command, I will fight beneath your banner.”
May we will always be willing to echo the words of St. Martin of Tours and follow the example of our veterans by doing the work that the Lord has entrusted to us!
Updates and Reminders:
- Colder weather is now upon us! Please be sure to send students to school with appropriate cold-weather attire for recess (hats, mittens, etc.), as we try to go outside for recess and play as frequently as possible.
- Planning to join us for Extended Day in the upcoming week? You can see the schedule for the week (11/14-11/17) by clicking here.
