We raised over $3,000 on Giving Tuesday thanks to our generous Cardinal Community. There’s still time to donate to the Cardinal Fund to help the PTA reach our $5,000 goal for our 2022 Giving Drive.
The PTA's Cardinal Fund raises money for teacher grants, enrichment programs for students and special events that bring our school community together. All donations are tax-deductible.
Support J.O. Wilson While You Shop!
Go to smile.amazon.com, designate JO Wilson Es PTA as your favorite charity, and the PTA will receive a portion of proceeds from your Amazon purchases. Link your VIC card to J.O. Wilson through Harris Teeter's Together in Education program. Give your cashier the code 1267 and your VIC card when you check out. (You must re-link your rewards card every school year!)
Share Your JOW Love!
We want everyone to know how much we love J.O. Wilson! Join the “I Love J.O.” campaign by recording a short video featuring you or your Cardinal telling us why you love J.O. Wilson, and send it to Mr. Bellamy at Sean.Bellamy@k12.dc.gov. We’ll also have testimonial opportunities for parents and students during the Book Fair on Dec. 7 and 8.
Don’t want to make a video? Send pictures of your Cardinal engaged in school or school-sponsored activities to jowilsonpta@gmail.com.
Videos and photos will be used on the school’s website and social media platforms.
Tell Your Story to the H Street Oral History Project.
Mosaic Theater Company at Atlas Performing Arts Center on H Street is seeking current and former residents of the H Street Corridor to interview for plays they are writing for the H Street Oral History Project.
The interviews will focus on the protests in 1968 following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the summer 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. This work will culminate in spring 2023 through a week-long festival, where all three plays will premiere as staged readings. All interviews and plays will be archived in the DC Public Library oral history collections.
If you are a former or current H Street corridor resident and would like to be interviewed, please contact HStreetOH@mosaictheater.org or fill out the form here https://mosaictheater.org/h-street-oral-history.
Interviewees will receive a stipend.
