October is National Bullying Prevention Month.

If you've ever been isolated from others at school or you were new at school and it took time to make friends, you know what it feels like to be left out. Or even if you were never isolated, imagine how it would feel.
Make friends with someone at school who you don't know. You probably wish someone had done that for you.

Be a leader. Take action and don't let anyone at school be in isolation.

Challenge Others To Be Kind: Make kindness go viral with an act of kindness and challenge friends and classmates to pay it forward with their acts of kindness.

Red Ribbon Week

“Send a Message. Stay Drug Free.” October 28 – November 1

Monday 10/28 - Theme – “Drugs are weak and do you harm,” dress FRAT or from the FARM!

• Dress “preppy” or “frat.”

• Or, dress in something you’d wear on a farm.

Tuesday 10/29- Theme – Put a LID on Drugs!

• Wear your favorite hat.

Wednesday 10/30- Theme – Wake up Wednesday! Put Drugs to Sleep!

• Wear pajamas.

Thursday 10/31- Theme – Drugs are Kooky…Dress Spooky!

• Wear your Halloween costumes.

• No masks or facial makeup allowed.

Friday 11/1 -Theme –“Don’t Follow the Crowd…be drug free, IRONHEAD PROUD!”

• Wear all your favorite IRONHEAD gear.
  

Activities for the Week:

We will have group pictures daily of all those who participate!

We will also continue with the bulletin board contest per grade.

And, students will receive drug-free souvenirs daily!

October 23rd - 1st grade Music Program @ 1:30 in Elementary Gym

October 24th - 5th grade boys/girls basketball @ Home @ 4:30pm

October 25th - Pre-K Field Trip -Porter Pumpkin Patch

October 25th - PTA Popcorn/Pickle Friday

October 28th - November 1st - Book Fair (Family Night Tuesday 29th)

October 31st - Fall Party Day in Classrooms

If you would like to become involved in Eufaula PTA be sure to attend one of our meetings. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Eufaula Elementary Cafeteria. Keep earning money for our schools by scanning your receipts into the Box Tops App, screenshotting your earnings, and emailing your earnings (with name and class if applicable) to ironheadboxtops@gmail.com.

October 24th - Lights On from 4-6pm. Follow the Eufaula Schools Beacon After School and Summer Program.
