WILD ABOUT READING

FREE books and FREE Hockey! Valerius is WILD about reading. In the next two weeks your student will bring home a free book to help them reach their reading goals set by their teacher. If they meet these goals by March 6th they will earn a free Iowa Wild ticket for themselves to be used on March 15th at 3:00 pm or 28th at 12:30 pm and will receive a free prize after the game for all their hard work. Return their completed reading goal sheet in their take home folder or in the WILD bucket in the main office by March 6th.

Dental Connections... A Wonderful Service to Families!

On Feb 19-21, the Smile Squad was able to be on site at Valerius. “Dental Connections” is a dental education & treatment program and is a private not-for-profit community health center providing dental services to families in Central Iowa. Thanks to the hard work of Jenny Villegas, our school nurse, many Valerius students were connected with Dental Care. Full stats will come out later, but it was amazing to see it in action.
