Hello Wrangler Families!
Looking to this week, there is no school on Monday, February 19th. Our February School Site Council Meeting is Tuesday, February 20th at 2:45pm. All parents are welcome to join us! Spring Picture Day is this Wednesday, February 21st. And, our February Pep Rally and spirit day are this Friday: Career Day!
Mark your calendars for two important deadlines. Talent Show Applications are due on February 28th and the Spring Noetic Math Contest Sign-Up Form is due on March 6th. Please see below for more information.

Spring Noetic Math Contest
Complete Sign-Up Form by March 6th!
Our annual Fall Noetic Math Contest will take place during the month of November and is available to students in Grades 2-5.
Grades 2 & 3 students will take the test after school on Wednesday, April 17th.
Grades 4 & 5 students will take the test online after school on Thursday, April 18th.
The NLMC is one of the largest math contests in the United States for elementary and middle school students. Every year, more than 30,000 students across the country participate in the contest to compete against each other. The goal of the NLMC is to develop students' problem-solving skills so that they will become better thinkers and they will be better prepared for advanced STEM studies.
During the test, students will apply their problem-solving skills and math concepts learned in the classroom to solve twenty creative math problems independently. The top scorer of each team will earn a Team Winner medal. In addition, the top 10% of students in the nation will earn the National Honor Roll medals and the top 50% of students in the nation will earn the Honorable Mention ribbons.
All 3rd grade students are welcome to join Mrs. White for additional practices in Mrs. White's room from 2:45-3:45pm on 3/27 and 4/10. More information in the form that follows.
All 4th and 5th grade students are welcome to join Mrs. Young for additional practices in Mrs. Young's room from 2:45-3:45pm on 3/20, 3/27, and 4/10. More information in the form that follows.

~Front Office Drop Off~
A reminder that students are not to be dropped off in the Front Office unless it's after 8:25am. All students should be dropped off at the open gates at Sandhurst or Knightsbridge. This minimizes the traffic at the front office in the morning.

Visitors & Volunteers
All volunteers and visitors MUST check-in at the front office with your ID each time you are on campus.You will not be permitted on campus without your ID.
If you will be volunteering regularly on campus, you will need to fill out the volunteer paperwork. It was sent home the first week of school and needs to be submitted at least one week prior to the start of volunteering. All volunteers must have a scheduled volunteer time with their student's teacher. Thank you for your support in keeping our school safe!

Please make sure you sign-in if you are on campus for our pep rallies! Anytime you are on campus after the bell rings, you must sign-in!

Welcome to Lang Ranch Elementary: a new webpage of flyers from community groups/organizations that will be used to reduce the amount of paper that your child takes home in their backpack.
From time to time, individuals or groups in the community will distribute information and advertisements to parents/guardians on the public sidewalks during school arrival or dismissal. This information is not affiliated or endorsed by Lang Ranch Elementary school and CVUSD. Any approved communications (i.e. announcements, fliers) from Lang Ranch Elementary school and CVUSD will be provided directly from the school to you via email, or given to your students to take home.
