Caldwell Schools Board Report
Update from Zone 1 Trustee Trish Robertson
January 2024
The Caldwell School District Board of Trustees is introducing their Trustee update. This update is intended to provide information on Board decisions, as well as school and community events.
Trustee Trish Robertson
I am an Idaho native and I have lived most of my life in Caldwell. I started my academic life at Lincoln Elementary School and later attended Idaho State University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. Eventually, I earned an M.A. in Counseling from the College of Idaho. Until I retired, I was a counselor in private practice. My daughter is a graduate of Caldwell High School.
I love Idaho and it is the home of my heart. Idaho is the place my parents raised me to respect others and the environment to strive to do my best in all endeavors. Serving on the Caldwell School Board is an honor. Children deserve a quality education and the opportunities to grow as individuals. They deserve to be safe, physically, emotionally, and mentally. It is our duty on the board to provide such an environment.
ANNUAL ORGANIZATION MEETING
Each year, Idaho School Boards hold an Annual Meeting, as required by law, to elect officers and other required business. This meeting allows School Boards to Elect Board Officers such as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Trustees nominated Marisela Pesina as Chair and Trustee Travis Manning as Vice Chair of the Board. Trustees also nominated Manuel Godina as Treasurer and Keely Cheney as Board Clerk.
Board Members approved their regular meetings for the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. They also identified dates and times for board work sessions. Trustees Manuel Godina, Travis Manning, and Andrew Butler were also sworn-in as newly elected Board Members. They will serve a four-year term.
