Classroom Spot Light- Grade 3 Mrs. McIntyre

Students in Mrs. McIntyre's class have been learning about animals and habitats. Over the last week, students conducted research on frogs. They were to describe their physical appearance, their life cycle, habitat, predators, their diet, and lastly their behaviors. Phew! That is a lot of work.

Spring Concert

We are excited for our Spring Concert. This concert will feature our Grade 4 and 5 students. In addition, Chorus and the Dance Club will be performing as well. The concert will be held on Tuesday, May 17th from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.. The concert will be a live-streamed beginning at 2:00 P.M. at youtube.com/district123 for those that will not be able to join in person. Entry will begin at door 2 at 1:45 P.M.

Covington Field Day

The Covington PTO will be hosting field day this year. There will be numerous activities for the kids to do, in the afternoon, on June 1st. This is always a fun day and one that the kids always look forward to!!

In order for us to be able to do this, we will need A LOT of volunteers. if we do not have the number of volunteers needed, field day will be canceled.

Covington ABC Countdown

This year, Covington is participating in an ABC countdown. This will begin on Thursday, April 28th. Students will be sent home with a calendar with all of the themed days. Students can pick and choose which days they would like to participate. A full calendar of days can be found on the Covington ABC Countdown Calendar.

Upcoming Days

Wednesday, May 11th: 'Joke Day' - bring a joke to school to share with your class

Thursday, May 12th: 'Kindness Day' - spread kindness around today (and everyday!)

Friday, May 13th: 'Lazy Day' - feel free to wear pajamas to school

Monday, May 16th: 'Music Day' - sit back and do some work with some music today

Tuesday, May 17th: 'Nature Day' - get outside to and use your senses to enjoy nature

PTO School Supply Orders

Your students should have received a handout for ordering next year's school supplies in their Take Home material today.

Orders are due July 4th but there is a discount available if you order by June 1st!
