It is hard to believe that the year is almost half way over. Last month was very busy, but this month is even busier. As we approach the holiday season, it is more important than ever to have your support at home. Reading daily with your student and having them read to you is crucial for their success at school. Long periods of time with no interaction with letters, sounds, and words in print can sometimes hurt a student's progress towards being an accomplished reader. Math can be the same way. I encourage you to interact with numbers in the grocery store or as you are purchasing holiday gifts. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and other math concepts are all around us. Our world is a fabulous place of learning. We appreciate all that you do and are thankful that you share your students with us.
