14th Street Ram Report #21

Congratulations to the third graders for having a fantastic Winter Concert! They performed numerous songs for a large audience and did amazing! 🤩

Third grade also completed the reading and math state assessments this past week (NWEA). They worked very hard for multiple days to get them done.

On February 2nd, PTO will host Night at the Museum from 5:30-7:30. This event is free! See the flyer below.

PreK and Kindergarten Registration is Thursday, February 8th from 4-6:00pm.

If you have a child ready for PreK or Kindergarten next year, please come on Thursday, February 8th anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 pm to register your child for next year. You will need to bring your child's birth certificate, immunization records, and 2 proofs of residency. If you know anyone with a PreK or Kindergarten child (neighbor, family, etc.), please pass this information along to them!

PreK students need to be 4 years old on or before October 15th.

Kindergarten students need to be 5 years old on or before October 15th.

The Bangor School Department used our new Emergency Alert Calling system for the first time to announce our weather delay this past week. Many families reached out to us about the phone number that this call came from, listed in Little Rock, Arkansas. The phone number is associated with our alert provider, Apptegy.

Working with our partner, we have updated our Emergency Alert number to be 207-262-9125. Please save this number in your phone as “BSD Emergency Alert.” This number will connect callers to the Superintendent’s Office should they have any questions. We apologize for any confusion that this may have caused.

If your family did not receive a phone call, text message, or email message from the Superintendent, please contact your school to update your emergency contact information.
