School Announcements
1. PreK and Kindergarten New Student Registration:
- The window opened Monday, Feb.20th.
- Lemira will have a special registration night March 9th (3:30pm - 6:00pm)
- If you are not able to make the registration night, you may register Monday - Friday (9am - 3pm)

2. Read Across America School Celebration
- We will have our "Read Across America" celebration on Thursday, March 2nd.
- Local community readers will be invited to read with our students.
- Our students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite "Dr. Suess" or Reading shirt.
3. Camp Leopold Trip:
5th Grade:
- Returned permission slips were due Friday, Feb. 24th
- Students will depart for trip Wednesday, March 8th - Friday, March 10th
4th Grade
- Permission slips will go home Monday, Feb. 27th.
- Students will depart for trip Wednesday, March 22nd - Friday, March 24th.
- Signed Permission slip forms will be due on or before Tues, March 7th.
4. Mental Health Wellness Day:
- 1/2 Day will be Friday, March 10th
- Students will dismiss at 11am.
- If there is a change in the mode of transportation, please inform the school in writing.
5. STEM Bus Visit:- 3rd Graders will have the opportunity to engage in STEM activities with reps from the Governor's School of Arts.
- Monday, March 13th (During School Hours)
6. Title One Literacy Gullah Night ( March 14th @ 6pm)- We will have a special guest, nationally known Aunt Pealie Sue, who will do a storyteller presentation for our parents and students!
7. Science Fair Projects:
- Teachers will be sending home information relating to students' upcoming science fair projects.
- The due date will be set by the teacher.
- Please reference teachers' schoology page and homework folders for additional class information.
8. EXACT Path: Students are encouraged to log into EXACT Path daily while at home. They have a dedicated time during the school day to work on their learning paths. However, we do encourage students to continue practicing their "Leveled" skills in their "Reading and Math" learning pathways. Students are recognized bi-weekly for their mastery progress and usage minutes.
