• Front doors will open at 7:30am. First bell rings at 8:15am. When students arrive on campus before 7:45am they will go to the gym, until they are released to class.
• Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy, unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.
• December 16 - Early Release 1/2 Day - 12:15 Dismissal
• December 18 - 26 - Hanukkah
• December 25 - Christmas
• December 26 - January 1 - Kwanzaa

The A-G Student of the Week is Lucas Castro,

nominated by Mr. Dorsett.

Lucas is a dedicated and hardworking student. He always has a positive attitude and is very respectful of staff and other students. - Austin Dorsett

The H-O Student of the Week is Valour Ogubuike,

nominated by Ms. Smith.

Valour enhances our class with a quiet loveliness that has a ripple effect on us all. She is in our school choir, on our basketball team, and cross-country team. She is positively impacting our Leaman school community inside the classroom, on the court, and everywhere she goes. I cannot say enough good things about this student. - Jalynn Smith

The P-Z Student of the Week is Annabelle Terry,

nominated by Ms. Robinson.

Annabelle is a hard working, dedicated and kind student. I have enjoyed having her in class and she deserves to be nominated as student of the week. - Shannon Robinson

1) Parents and Student, all lost and found items will be located on the stage in the cafeteria December 12th through the 16th. Any items left after the 16th will be donated to Goodwill.

2) Parents the survey for the 2023-2024 Instructional Calendar and School Hours will Launch this week. The survey window is December 1 - January 6.

PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
