CareerWise Colorado Apprenticeships - Earn While You Learn!
Set up your CareerWise profile now and Apply Early for best opportunity.
- 2 and 3 year options starting fall 2022 or January 2023
- Attend school part-time, work at your apprenticeship part-time (work and earn more during breaks and summer)
- EARN $30,000-$40,000 in wages
- EARN a nationally-recognized industry credential
- EARN free college credit or other related training
- EARN 1.5 elective credits per semester
Are You Eligible?
- Current Juniors and Seniors age 16 and up may apply. Some postings are just for seniors, and some are open to sophomores as well.
- Provide your own transportation to and from apprenticeship
- Class schedule can accommodate an apprenticeship and student is on track for on-time high school graduation
- Some apprenticeships may require immunizations, drug screen, background check or other pre-requisites

Future Educator Apprenticeship
Get started in the Education Pathway as a Future Educator Apprentice where you'll work alongside a classroom teacher to provide instruction and develop positive relationships with students, run small group activities, do lesson planning and grading, and learn about various career paths in education at the early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels.
Apprenticeship Details:

- Starting wage: $15.00/hour
IT Support Technician Apprenticeship
Do you like to help others solve problems? Are you interested in working with computers?
Get started in the Information Technology Pathways as an IT Support Technician Apprentice where you'll provide excellent customer service to TSD staff and students while troubleshooting hardware and software issues. You will technology support through updates, configuration, and filling service requests.
Apprenticeship Details:
- Employer: Thompson School District Innovative Technology Services
- 2 or 3 year apprenticeships
- Number of Positions: 2 positions - Open to TSD students only - Juniors or Seniors
- Location: TSD schools and ITS Dept
- Starting wage: $15.00/hour
Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship
Get started in the Manufacturing Pathway as a Manufacturing Technician Apprentice where you'll work in a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company to set up, test, adjust and run manufacturing machinery and equipment. You will inspect and test both equipment and finished products for flaws to ensure a quality product.

Financial Services Representative Apprenticeship
Get started in the Financial Services Pathway as a Bank Teller/Financial Services Representative where you'll assist customers with banking transactions, perform customer service activities and sell and open new accounts, close accounts, and advise customers on all bank services.
Apprenticeship Details:

- Starting wage: $13.00-$15.00/hour
Manufacturing Production Technician and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeships
Get started in the Manufacturing Pathway as a Production Technician where you'll measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, set up and operate production equipment, and troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
Or try out Maintenance Technician where you'll perform maintenance to keep equipment and systems in prime working condition. You'll gain experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, plumbing, ventilation, and robotic systems. And this position may involve Welding too!

TSD INTERNSHIPS
Marketing/Social Influencer Internship with TSD CTE Department
Publicize TSD's work-based learning, Career & Technical Education (CTE), and other programs to students and families with a PAID internship. The intern will get to create flyers, webpages. e-newsletters and other marketing content, while serving as a Student Influencer enhancing and creating a social media presence.
- Who can apply: Open to current juniors and seniors. Must be age 16 by start of internship. 1 position available.
- Pay rate: Student will earn a $500 stipend upon successful completion of the internship
- Hours/schedule: 2 or more open class periods during 1 semester. Flexible scheduling during school hours. Start fall 2022, or January 2023.
- Location: Hybrid - Thompson Career Campus and virtual
- Credit: Students can earn elective credit, assigned retroactively.

IT Support Technician Internship with TSD Innovative Technology Services
- School year internships - You'll gain experience supporting staff and students in your home high school through hardware and software tech support. Available at all high schools and open to grades 9-12. Course number 5092 IT Support Tech Internship.
- Summer internships - A limited number of paid summer internships are available to process and ready all of the student devices for the new school year.

UCHealth Radiology Internship
Are you interested in a career in Healthcare? Would you like to explore a career and technology that is used throughout a hospital? This exciting unpaid internship runs from November 2022 to April 2023. You'll gain knowledge about the different radiology modalities such as X-ray, CT Scanning, Ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine and shadow UCHealth radiology professionals in the Medical Center of the Rockies Imaging Department and throughout the hospital. 4 positions available.
Radiology Internship Components:
- RESEARCH: Research imaging modalities to discover how imaging is produced, safety procedures, and the links between imaging and medical specialties.
- PRESENT: Create slides and deliver presentations on the modalities of radiology, showing depth of research and learning demonstrating knowledge of the modality.
- SHADOW: Participate in on-site job shadows at Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR) for a minimum of 4 hours to observe each modality.
Qualifications:
- Juniors or Seniors
- Self-motivated student capable of independently conducting online research and creating/delivering presentations
- Positive attitude, self-starter, willingness to learn and gain workplace experience
- Prefer successful completion of biology course and/or anatomy and physiology course
- Exhibited interest in a Health Science career through application form
- Must have one or more free periods available in spring semester – this is a class for which you will be registered. Students who do not have an off period or flexibility during spring semester should not apply.
- **Must provide own transportation to MCR
- **Student must provide proof of vaccination for: Measles/Mumps/Rubella, PPD (TB), Flu shot - administered Oct-May, COVID-19
