Message from the Principal
Dear Stonegate Families and Caregivers,
As I start my tenth year as the Proud Principal of Stonegate Elementary, I am thrilled to extend my warmest welcome to you all as we embark on an exciting new school year.
Last week’s Great Shark tour and Open House saw a remarkable turnout, and it was truly heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm and support from our wonderful community. The positive feedback we received as families explored our beautiful new building was both inspiring and encouraging.
As we step into this fresh new school year, I kindly ask for your assistance in maintaining the pristine appearance of our new facility. Encourage your students to treat our building with care and respect, ensuring that its beauty remains intact for everyone to enjoy.
We also give a big welcome to all our new families, including our Pre-Kindergarten and PEP families. If you did not read the Summer Welcome letter, it is linked here for your convenience. It is full of important information.
Together with all the Stonegate staff, we are looking forward to the experiences and growth that await us in the coming months. Together, as a united school family, we will undoubtedly create memorable moments and achieve remarkable accomplishments.
I ask you to partner with us and Trust the Magic of New Beginnings. Here's to an incredible school year ahead!
Warm regards,
Linda M. Jones
Principal, Stonegate Elementary School

Car Rider or Walker?
If you walk up to the school to get your child, then your child is considered a Walker and will be dismissed at 3:25 by walking out the front doors of the school. If you park nearby and walk up to get your child, your child is still considered a WALKER. Make sure your child’s teacher knows they are a walker.
If you drive up through our Car rider loop, then your child is a “Car Rider.” Students who are Car Riders are dismissed when their car comes through the Car Rider Loop.
Caregivers must show the child’s first and last name when they are being picked up as Car Riders.
Car Rider Etiquette
Now that we are back in the neighborhood, we anticipate many cars in the car loop. For families who are using the car rider loop, please follow some rules for a safe and quick experience.
Don’t cut in line.
Don’t park in the line and get out of your vehicle.
We have provided all students a card with the student's first and last name typed. Please show the card with your child's first and last name.
Make sure your child is ready to get out of the vehicle when it's your turn.
As you drive, be mindful of the families who live near the school.
Please remember, BE PATIENT.
News concerning Global Childcare
As you may know, Global Childcare has used the Stonegate ES facilities for many years. Global Childcare is having trouble getting the necessary permits issued at our new school building. We recognize that this is causing difficulty for many Stonegate families. Stonegate Elementary is doing everything possible to help Global Childcare.
As a reminder, Global Childcare is a standalone business and Stonegate ES cannot answer any questions or speak on behalf of Global Childcare. They have been wonderful partners to Stonegate ES and the Stonegate PTA and we hope they find a quick resolution.

Stonegate PTA- You Belong!
The Stonegate Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is excited to kick-off the 2023 - 2024 school year. Clothing To Cash Recycling Program
Clothing to Cash® is a program that collects New and Used Clothing, Shoes, Sheets, Towels, (all Textiles) and pays the school 10 cents for every pound collected. The program is operated entirely OUTSIDE and will be located in the school parking lot, where students, parents, staff and the community can drop off items throughout the year. They have state of the art photo quantity sensors installed in each bin that report 3 times daily to prevent overflow and allows the company to schedule service as needed (no other companies use this technology). They empty the collection bin, weigh the contents to determine our school earnings and pays our school monthly. The average school (500 - 1000 students) will earn $1000- $2000 yearly if each student would donate just one 13-gallon kitchen size trash bag yearly!! Add in parents, siblings, relatives, neighbors, and staff and Stonegate’s earnings could really increase.
