Believe in Brighton Day!
June 1st is "Believe In Brighton" day throughout Brighton Area Schools. Everyone is encouraged to wear a "Believe In Brighton" shirt or Brighton spirit wear to show our collective support to our Main Street businesses that are dealing with the construction that is impacting their livelihood. Many of these businesses do so much for our schools, sports teams and communities. It is time for us to give back. All proceeds for sales of Believe In Brighton merchandise goes back to marketing efforts for Downtown Brighton to support all the small businesses. Another way to show our support is to continue to go downtown & support all of Main Street. Order your Believe In Brighton tee or sweatshirt here: https://www.ivoryvines.com/collections/believe-in-brighton Deadline to order has been extended to May 24th

Dress Code
We believe that enforcing a dress code policy is crucial for maintaining a positive and focused learning environment for all students. We kindly request your support and cooperation in upholding these guidelines.
The purpose of our dress code is to promote a respectful and conducive atmosphere where students can concentrate on their studies and feel safe and comfortable in their school environment. We have outlined the key points of our dress code policy, and we would like to emphasize their importance:
Disruptive Clothing: Dress or grooming that is disruptive to the educational process is not permitted. This includes excessively revealing or distracting attire that may divert attention from academic pursuits.
Prohibited Endorsements: Clothing or accessories endorsing tobacco, alcohol, or other controlled substances are strictly prohibited on campus. We believe it is essential to maintain a healthy and substance-free environment for our students.
Footwear and Hats: Proper footwear must be worn for safety reasons. Hats are allowed in hallways and common spaces and are at the discretion of the teacher in classrooms. We encourage students to follow these guidelines while respecting the teacher's decision in the classroom.
Decency and Respect: Our administration and staff interpret and enforce standards of decency, which are intended to ensure an atmosphere of mutual respect among students and staff members. Maintaining a sense of dignity and propriety is paramount to nurturing a positive learning environment.
Appropriate Attire: Halter tops, mesh shirts, midriff-exposing shirts, tank tops, short skirts, short shorts, shorts with slits or cutoffs, and other types of suggestive clothing are not permitted.
Undergarment Coverage: Exposing undergarments, including over leggings, is not allowed. We believe it is essential to maintain modesty and uphold a professional atmosphere within our school community.
By adhering to these dress code guidelines, we aim to create an environment that fosters respect, focus, and an appreciation for appropriate dress and grooming. We firmly believe that maintaining these standards will contribute to an enhanced educational experience for every student.
We kindly request your assistance in reinforcing these guidelines with your child. Encourage conversations about the importance of appropriate attire and the impact it has on their education and the overall school environment. Together, let us instill values of respect, self-expression within appropriate boundaries, and a commitment to academic excellence.
