Hadley Back to Blended Tomorrow
Hadley Opens Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9
Hadley Junior High School will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9, for students in the blended in-person model.
I am pleased to report that Hadley will return to the in-person blended model tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9. We are preparing a summary of the surveillance testing that will be posted on our COVID-19 dashboard soon. For Hadley, there were 3 student findings of clinical significance out of 472 student samples processed by the lab. We do not have final staff counts yet but from yesterday’s samples processed, there were zero findings of clinical significance for staff.
What if I received a “finding of potential clinical significance”?
Individuals who test as a “finding of potential clinical significance” were notified and asked to take the following steps:
Contact their Healthcare Provider for further instructions and guidance
Obtain a COVID-19 RT-PCR test and notify your school nurse of the result
If the COVID-19 RT-PCR test also comes back positive, the individual would isolate according to COVID-19 Interim Exclusion Guidance. Click here for the IDPH Exclusion Decision Tree.
*Please note that the Illinois Department of Public Health has not yet adopted the revised guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the reduced number of days for isolation and quarantine. When we receive information on this, we will share it with our communities.
If the COVID-19 RT-PCR test comes back negative and your student remains asymptomatic, please contact the school nurse.
Sign Up for COVID-19 Saliva Screening (in person staff/students only)
It is important to have as much participation in the screening program as possible. Our goal is 90% participation to make the best evidence-based decisions. If you already consented and acknowledged the waiver for each of your children in Skyward, you will continue to be provided with test kits.
If you have signed up last week, you will receive test kits this week for the week of December 14.
If you have not yet consented and acknowledged the waiver in Skyward, you can do so now until Monday, December 14, for testing that will take place when we get back from winter break in January. Test kits will be provided to students to take home prior to winter break.
Once you sign up you will be in the system and do not need to sign the waiver again.
Thank you to all who participated in this COVID-19 screening. If you have any questions, please contact the Hadley Junior High School office.
Thank you,
Dr. K.
