Fighting Cold and Flu Season
Happy New Year! The cold and flu season is here. Here are some tips that can help fight the flu and or cold and keep us healthy.
Drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
Make sure you have an adequate amount of sleep 8-10 hours is recommended.
Gargle on warm salty water if you have a sore throat, honey is recommended, and lemon is also encouraged.
Sip warm liquids, tea’s are recommended; ginger, ginseng and green tea’s work best.
Wear warm clothing, layer if possible. Hats and gloves are to be worn to keep your head and hands warm.
Eat oranges and tomatoes that are high in vitamin C and are immune busters.
Blueberries, Wild Salmon, and Dark chocolate all aide in reducing cold symptoms as well as aiding in preventing the common cold.
Wash your hands!!!
Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing! You always want to protect yourself as well as others!!!
Take your vitamins!!
Stay warm and healthy! Enjoy the winter!
