My Story Project
On April 1, Monterey County hosted a My Story Project youth support conference. Several agencies were in attendance and service providers made presentations on youth services. Soledad Youth Council students Sofia Vargas and Alan Briseno served as facilitators at the conference, which was held at the Soledad Community Center. The Soledad USD hosted a resource table at the event.
Mrs. Claus Interviews
Main Street Middle School presented a play “Mrs. Claus Interviews” on April 4. The event was well attended.
Meeting with Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren
Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren met with members of the Soledad Community including the City of Soledad, Soledad Unified School District, MCOE, and students and others. Congresswoman Lofgren will become Soledad’s representative in Congress when redistricting takes effect after the November elections.
Blue Zones Project
Main Street Middle School became the first Blue Zones school in our district. Congratulations to MSMS which promotes Blue Zones practices of healthy living and eating as well as growth mindset and clean environments.
