Falcon Flyer
Belong. Inspire. Grow.
Straight from the Hardt
Ok… now we’re officially on break! I know our school calendar may not have been ideal this week and I’ve passed that feedback along. We return to school on January 4. Short school week, but wanted to acknowledge some of our student’s success over the weekend. It began with victories in basketball for our girls team, now 5-1, and our boys team who won a 2 OT thriller! Gymnastics placed 2nd at Mead in another great effort. Robotics punched their card for 2 berths to state. Our Birds of Prey podcast crew held an epic 12 hour marathon podcast. You can check out the link in today’s flyer.
An important part of our Ridgeline culture is establishing positive and memorable transitions. Beginnings and endings matter. Last Thursday we were looking ahead to today, our last day before break… the last school day of 2022. Should we just sit isolated in our classrooms or should we come together as a community, as Falcons, and celebrate the end of the calendar year and all the accomplishments leading up to it?! Who are we, what are we about? Our spirit and celebration assembly to propel us into break is just what we needed! Take a moment TO make a moment!
Thank you to Savannah and Skyah, pictured with me here, as I sport the festive Christmas tie they sewed in class!
See you back here in 2023…Make it a great Christmas break! --Mr. Hardt

Student Services
Each summer on the University of Washington, Seattle campus, the Do-It Scholars Program (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) hosts a no-cost capstone program for students with disabilities. The program “serves to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in challenging programs and careers,” focusing on high school sophomores and juniors with an aptitude for and interest in attending college. To learn more about the Do-It Program and the application process, please visit the website. The priority application deadline for the summer 2023 program is January 30, 2023.
Green Team
Green Team, our Environmental and Outdoor Club, is holding a winter photo contest from today until January 17th. Students are encouraged to enter photos for the theme “Winter in the Wild” using the QR Code posted above. Photos will be judged by staff and winners will be posted in the newsletter. So get creative, Falcons! Ask Ms. Larsen any questions!
Intro to Marketing & Graphic Arts
The Introduction to Marketing and Graphic Arts students collaborated in teams this past week to create a new cereal brand. Marketing did the research and came up with the concepts and mood boards, and Graphic Arts took on the role of graphic designers by taking the original concepts and creating miniature versions of the cereal box for the new brands. These are their finished products. Well done Business and Marketing students!
