Curriculum Resource Highlight
Bridges 2nd Edition from the Math Learning Center is the curricular tool we use to support students. There are several family resources that can support math learning at home. The Family Support Page lets you choose your child's grade level and has many tools. Here, you will find...
- important concepts and skills your child will need to learn by the end of the year.
- links to parent letters per Unit that describe the goals, specific example problems, strategies, and frequently asked questions (most grade levels are currently in Unit 4).
- Math at Home activities. These collections, organized by content, provide routines and specific hands-on activities that can be used to reinforce math concepts.
- links to online games, practice books, and digital scavenger hunts.
- Math Learning Center applications that can be used on mobile devices or computers. These include vocabulary cards (can search per grade), virtual clocks, number sense tools, etc.
- Articles for families.
Additionally, we have district resources to support students and parents. Pease login to our Canvas Learning Management System to see daily lesson plans for math. These plans include student-friendly learning targets, vocabulary words, important concepts, math tools, and home connection pages. Need help logging into Canvas? See the flyer below and/or contact the front office. Need help accessing information on your child's Canvas page? Please reach out to your classroom teacher.
We know we are most successful when we partner with parents/guardians to support student growth. We hope these resources provide information and tools to increase communication and support to families in the area of math learning!
