Summit School Newsletter
INNOVATIVE TEACHING. EXPERT EDUCATORS. THRIVING STUDENTS.
August 11, 2023
From the Head of School...
Dear Summit School Families,
I trust this newsletter finds you well. As we embark on a new academic year filled with promise and excitement, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your continued trust and support in making Summit School a thriving educational community.
The safety of our students and families remains our utmost priority, and in this regard, I would like to draw your attention to our pick up and drop off procedures. We have observed a few areas that require attention to ensure the well-being of all members of our school community.
1. Crossing in Front of Cars: It has come to our attention that some families are crossing in front of cars during drop off and pick up times. We kindly request your cooperation in refraining from crossing in front of vehicles, as this can pose significant safety risks. Instead, please make use of designated crosswalks and pedestrian pathways to ensure the safety of everyone on our campus.
2. Pick Up for Families with Multiple Grade Levels: We understand that families with children in multiple grade levels may experience some confusion during the pick-up process. Please review the information in the attached document for clarification.
To facilitate a smooth drop off and pick up for your family, I encourage you to carefully review the "Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures" document. Your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these procedures will greatly contribute to a safer and more efficient traffic flow on our campus.
The collective effort of our Summit School community in upholding these procedures will undoubtedly create a safer environment for our students and families. Let's work together to ensure that every student's journey to and from school is a secure and positive experience.
Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated Summit School team.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the well-being of our students and for your partnership in fostering a safe and thriving learning environment. Your involvement truly makes a difference.
Wishing you all a continued wonderful start to the new academic year.
Warm regards,
Dr. Nardi

Congratulations to Grade 1 parents who won their Sabrecats a grade-level party completing the most number of Parent Impact Surveys at the end of last school year.
We are delighted to say Grade 4 showed off the most Spirit during B2S Night! They won a grade level party from PTO.
Do you know a Summit School Alum? Send them our way! We'd love to know what they are up to so we can add them to our Alumni Spotlight.
Watch for additional dates and times.
Summit School Community Partnerships
Dear Community Member, Summit School is pleased to announce that we are starting a community partner program with businesses in our local community. We know that connections in the community are invaluable to the success of our school and our local businesses. We would like to invite you to become a Summit Community Partner. This partnership requires no donations or financial support. Instead, we ask for mutual participation. Here is how it works. You agree to be a Summit Community Partner by posting our Summit School Community Partner flyer, poster, or our Summit School brochures in your business. We add your logo to our Summit Community Partners website page and our weekly school digital newsletter. We will reach out to you when we have campus events that you may be interested in for the purpose of sponsorship, table displays, or other connections. We offer you the opportunity to add items or information to our new family welcome bags. To get started, please complete this form or reach out to Kyle Allen, Director of Admissions and Marketing at kyle.allen@summitschoolaz.org. In addition, please send your business logo as a .png or .jpg file to the email address above. Want to know more about Summit School? We would be happy to give you a tour of our campus. If you would like a tour or have any questions, please email Kyle Allen or call 480-403-9506. Thank you for your consideration. In Partnership, Dr. Stephanie Nardi Head of School
