Caldwell School District is using a new Student Information System this fall. We are currently transitioning from Skyward to PowerSchool so that registering your student will be more intuitive.

Returning Students:

For returning students who attended Caldwell Schools last school year, online registration opened on Tuesday, August 1st. If your student attended Caldwell School District last school year, you should have already received an email from the district with a link specific to your student's registration. Once you receive that email, follow the directions to create a new parent portal account and register your student in PowerSchool.

Brand new students:

If your student is new and has never attended Caldwell School District, then you are now able to create a parent portal account and register your student. This is only for those students who have never attended Caldwell School District before. Click here to begin the enrollment process if you are registering a student who has not attended a CSD school previously.

In-Person Registration:

Lewis and Clark Elementary School will have staff on site to assist with in-person registration on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 7am - 6pm. Please be sure to bring your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residence if you are enrolling for the first time.

**Wednesday early release every week at 2:00pm**

Outdoor Supervision (bus area): 8:30am

Doors Open: 8:45am

First Bell: 8:50am

Tardy Bell: 8:55am

Dismissal Bell: 3:30pm (2:00pm every Wednesday)

**For safety purposes, parents are not allowed in the building unless they have checked in at the front office and have received a visitor's pass. Appointments should be made with teachers for visits.**

STUDENT ARRIVAL: All students will enter the East doors next to the bus lanes. Vehicle drop-off takes place in the FRONT of the school. Please DO NOT pull into the bus lanes as this is both a safety concern and makes our bus traffic more congested. Students who are dropped off will be directed by school staff to walk to the bus area where they will wait for doors to open at 8:45am. Please do not park in the drop-off lane. If you plan to exit your vehicle, park in a marked parking space and walk your students using the crosswalks. Students should not be dropped off or arrive at school before 8:30am. Outdoor supervision begins at 8:30am.

KINDERGARTEN ARRIVAL: During the first three days of school (Wednesday - Friday), kindergarten teachers and staff will meet kindergarten students at the front of the school. Those who ride buses will be escorted to the kindergarten lines. Parents can drop off their kindergartners or park and walk their children to the correct line. Parents will not accompany students to the classrooms on school days. Starting Monday, August 21, kindergarten students will follow the same procedures as all other students, entering the East doors.

STUDENT DISMISSAL: Students who ride buses will be accompanied to the bus pickup location on the East side of the school by their teachers. Students who ride home with parents or guardians will wait at the front of the building with a staff member until they identify their ride. Students who walk home will be released by their teachers at the end of the day. If your student walks, please practice their walking route several times before school starts so they know the way and so they use the appropriate crosswalks to use. If you are picking your child up, please either stay in your vehicle in the pickup lane, or park in a marked parking space and use crosswalks to come and go from the front of the building. The safety of our students and families is important to us!

Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge to all students every day. Breakfast and lunch are eaten in our school cafeteria daily. Fourth and fifth grade students will eat breakfast between 8:30-8:55am daily, with all other grades eating breakfast according to a schedule built into the beginning of the school day.
