December 17, 2023
Hello Hornet Families!!!
As we approach the Winter Break, I would like to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. I hope this break will be filled with joy, laughter, and moments that create lasting memories.
Just a reminder that Wednesday, December 20th is our last day of the fall semester. I am grateful for the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, and families. Together, you all have celebrated successes and navigated challenges, making this semester a success. THANK YOU!!!!
I am excited to share that on Wednesday, December 20th our CRPBIS team and Kealing PTA have organized a special after lunch event to celebrate the end of the first semester. Students will be treated to sweets and a small gift to express our appreciation for their efforts in contributing to a positive school culture.
In terms of after school activities, please note that this will be a quieter week. Outside of our girls' basketball and boys' soccer games Monday and Tuesday evening, there won't be any afterschool activities. Teachers' office hours, clubs, Think Tank, and Late Buses will resume after Winter Break. Please make sure your students are aware and have arrangements in place for getting home afterschool. We appreciate you help in making this a smooth transition into Winter Break.
Again, I would like to express my gratitude to our students, families and staff for making this semester a memorable and successful one. I am so happy to be part of this great school community. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with love and happiness.
Mr. Estes

CHROMEBOOKS OVER WINTER BREAK
If students don't want to worry about keeping up with their Chromebooks over the Winter Break,
they are welcome to drop them off in the Library next week so that the devices can be locked up in a safe place.
They just need to be labeled with student name and ID number when dropped off.
Keep in mind that AISD has said that the cost of a lost Chromebook is $500. Devices lost over the
Break are the responsibility of the student so keeping them on campus is a great opportunity.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Our girls' basketball teams wrap up their season on Monday, December 18th in the city tournament. The 7th grade team will take on Bailey Middle School while our 8th grade team battle it out with Paredes. Both games will be at Kealing starting at 6:00. Good Luck to both teams!!!
