Special Announcement!!
Why the Cattery??
Do you know what a cattery is? Well, if you've been to PetSmart, you have probably seen the room with cages and kitties. This is a cattery. The purpose of this cattery is to house adoptable cats from partnering Rescues. Catteries are not cruel. In fact, the Cattery allows us to help more by opening the homes of fosters to take more that are in need. The cattery allows for greater advertisement, public interaction, enrichment and most importantly, exposure! It is estimated that a cat in a cattery will be adopted within 5 days or less whereas in a foster home that time could equal several weeks.
Orietta
Ms. Orietta is approximately 3 years old and just the sweetest soul. She is good with older children but we don't know how she is around toddlers. But that chin, OMG!! When she puts her head down she looks like the Joker!
French Fry & Fish Stick (siblings)
French Fry is still learning to snuggle, but he purrs up a storm when you pick him up and pet him. He has become such a sweetheart. He’s also a very playful kitten.
Fish Stick loves hanging out in his tunnel and sneak attacking his brothers as they walk by. He is full of kitten energy and loves to play.
Mama Dee Dee
Mama Dee-Dee is a sweet, shy, beautiful kitty with the most awesomely fun meow. (Part kitty, part Chewbacca) She isn’t very fond of dogs (they are too up in her business for her liking). She co-exists with other cats decently but she would probably be happiest as an only pet.
About Us
Michele’s Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit companion animal rescue that was started in 1997 in West Michigan. We are a no kill rescue that takes in and adopts out companion animals from all over the country. Most of the animals we take in are in line to be “put-down” and need rescues like ours to help them find a happy and loving home. These animals are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for internal parasites and fleas, heart worm tested and most importantly spayed/neutered. The only thing wrong with our animals is that they are without a family…........your family.
