Shooting Sports Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 @ 6 – 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. This meeting is open to the public to discuss any recommendations for the shooting sports program.

The 2023 Special Garden Project will focus on Mrs. Burns’ Lemon Basil. This herb can be used multiple ways. Lemon basil has a unique lemon flavor can be added to any recipe or used as a cut flower in arrangements to add scent and interest. Sign up for your seed packet using the events tab in 4HOnline (you need to be enrolled in 4Honline first) by Jan 14, 2023. Email Tammy @tcavanaugh2@unl.edu with questions.

Turkey Coaster Kit

Make a neat turkey coaster! All supplies and instructions included. Cost is just $5.00. We have a limited number of kits available. We will email when kits are ready to pick up at the Extension Office. Payment due the day of pick up. Sign up for your kit in 4HOnline using the events tab! You will need to enroll for the 2022-2023 year.

The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers will award a $500 scholarship to qualifying 4 H male and a $500 scholarship to one qualifying 4H female one who are graduating seniors in the State of Nebraska and who plan to continue with post high school education. The Hixson Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is now accepting applications for Nebraska Young Artist Awards! This program recognizes high school juniors who demonstrate talent in arts, music, dance, theatre, film, or emerging media. New for 2023, the Nebraska State 4-H Presentations Contest will partner with the State 4-H Public Speaking Contest to create the State 4-H Communications Event to be held on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus on Friday, June 23, 2023. The event will include contests, as well as educational opportunities, in the areas of prepared speech, impromptu speech, PSA (radio), video communication, illustrated presentations, and more.

Cass County has a new robotics club! This club will be focused on building robotics with Lego's and there will be regional competitions!

The Dairy Ambassador Program is an educational and leadership opportunity for young people who are passionate about dairy. Dairy Ambassadors have the opportunity to connect with consumers and share dairy’s story while networking with their peers and industry professionals.
