GIS Summer Newsletter

The Dog Days of Summer
I hope everyone is safe and dry after the rain and flooding. Should you need anything, please see the link below. This newsletter is just a quick update on the building, registration forms, volunteer information, school board information, bus routes, and get-togethers before the start of school.
School is in the process of getting its deep clean, so if you see Mr. Toby, Miss Shannon, or Mr. Eric, give them a big thank you for their hard work!
One of the most complex parts of school is the start-up of a new year. As a Supervisory Union, we're looking for ways to utilize our technology to make your life easier, and often there are hiccups along the way. You're always so patient with the processes, and I very much appreciate that! Our first round of forms went out in Alma, and many of you have filled out the forms so quickly- thank you so much!
Email me if you need your username or password; I'm happy to help.
For anything else, my inbox and door are always open!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Pokemon, Comfort Items, and Other Items From Home
- Pokemon is always a hot topic, and we will start the year by leaving all Pokemon cards at home. There is a lot to navigate with new routines, and adding prized cards can cause unnecessary stress.
- Comfort items from home offer a strong sense of safety for many students, primarily in Kindergarten. Teachers will set these expectations for all students and communicate them to you. As a general rule of thumb, we do not allow toys that convey danger, unease, or are scary. I understand that families have different definitions and thresholds of danger, unease, and scariness; however, we work together as a school community to keep things consistent for all students, and I appreciate your support.
- Please label students' gear with their names; our lost and found is well-loved.
