Run With the Dogs 5K - There’s a New Mural In Town!
Check out Decatur’s newest mural commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Run With the Dogs 5K (RWTD5K). Located in the Oakhurst parking lot next to FitWit, the mural features Lego, this year’s Face of the Race. Local artist and lacrosse coach Adam Pinsley, who has so generously designed the iconic artwork for this fundraiser for the past 12 years, was the creative force behind the mural, which was painted by DHS students, athletes, and other volunteers over a three-day period. Watch the mural evolve in this time-lapse video.
RWTD5K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and a fundraiser for Decatur Bulldog Boosters. All proceeds go to support athletics at DHS and BHMS. Be sure to grab your friends and join us for this great community event on January 27.
