Happy Friday! Thank you for taking the time to read through our newsletter. Each week we will be providing important updates and information. The goal is to make it a quick read with relevant and timely information all in one convenient place. The titles for each section will hopefully help facilitate a quick scan for relevancy. Elementary Information
Drive-By Supply Pickup: If you missed the supply pick-up, swing by the office and we will be able to provide you with the resources. This is for K-5 students only.

Middle School Information
MS Electives: We are excited to announce that our middle school students have access to a limited selection of electives. If your child is interested in this optional opportunity, please use this link to sign up. Classes start next week and teachers will be reaching out to students via their mytusd.org emails.

High School Information
Last Day to Drop Classes: Reminder that the deadline to add/drop classes for the First Quarter is this coming Friday, August 27th. Please contact your advisory teacher or Mr. Moreno if you have any changes.
Attention Juniors: We are now offering Honors US History for any interested juniors.
PSAT for 11th Graders: The PSAT will only be offered to TUSD 11th-grade students who register for the exam. The exam will take place at Tustin Connect on Saturday, October 16, 2021. All CDPH Health and Safety Protocols in place at that time will be implemented to ensure a safe testing environment. If you would like to register to take the PSAT, please fill out this form no later than September 3, 2021, at 3:30 pm. Late registration will not be accepted.
School Site Council-VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
At Back to School Night, we reached out for volunteers to join our School Site Council. The Council meets 5 times over the course of the school year on the following dates:
Fridays at 8:30 AM.
9/10, 10/15, 2/4, 4/15, and 5/13
As background information, School Site Council (SSC) must be established at all Tustin Unified School District Schools. The elected members represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in school governance. The SSC is responsible for the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and school site categorical funds. The SSC is expected to:
- Review the District’s LCAP and LEA Plan.
- Review and analyze student data.
- Solicit community input and develop a needs assessment.
- Assist the principal in developing SPSA.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the SPSA on an ongoing basis.
- Approve the SPSA before it is submitted to the District for final review and Board of Education approval.
