Weekly Community Updates - October 6, 2023
Dear Students and Families,
Today, we welcomed the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus to campus and listened to an amazing concert. It was truly a message of inclusivity and love. This was brought through their RHYTHM Reaching Youth Through Music program. Thank you to the staff members who made this event possible and to our fantastic day foreman who transformed our gym to a wonderful venue to listen to this incredible group. Lastly, a special thank you to OSPTO for funding this concert for our students. It truly was an amazing performance.
As a reminder, next week on October 13th our Paloma Ave parking lot will be closed to parked cars starting at 3:30pm for our Trunk N' Treat event. The details are below in upcoming events.
I hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend and we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday.
Take care,
Maritza Torres

STOPit: An Online Reporting Tool
We are pleased to announce that our school has enrolled with STOPit Solutions Anonymous Reporting System. STOPit is an online reporting tool designed to deter and help stop bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors. Through the STOPit mobile and website, anonymous reports can be made to school administrators, with the goal of creating safer and kinder school communities, both on and offline.
This reporting system allows students and families to:
Anonymously report concerns through the STOPit App, or website, which are sent to a 24/7 Incident Response Center
Submit photo or video evidence (App/web only)
Alert designated administrators to issues and concerns before escalating
No personal information is needed to use STOPit. Both our school and STOPit are committed to protecting the privacy of student data. STOPit is a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge, spearheaded by the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software; Information Industry Association. You may review STOPit’s Privacy Policy for details, including more information on how anonymous reporting works.
The District will launch this program on Monday, October 16, 2023. On this day, we will be encouraging all students to download the STOPit app to their smartphone at no charge. QR codes will also be posted around campus to encourage students to download the STOPit app.
