CURRICULUM
Extension Programme
Our Extension students have been impressing us with their outstanding critical thinking skills, logic, and reasoning.
As they compile their projects, we've witnessed their ability to apply knowledge to new contexts, reflecting on their work, and evaluating outcomes. In collaborative group projects, they've not only researched, designed, and planned, but also taken ownership of the entire construction process, making improvements, and conducting evaluations. We cannot wait to see their final results.

Basketball Carnival
Last Friday PCPS competed in the Interschool basketball competition. Seven schools competed from around the Northern Suburbs of Perth. We entered two boys’ teams and two girls teams from Yr 5 and Yr 6. It was an action packed day with 6 games of basketball played for all teams. It was great to see our students showcasing their skills against some very competitive teams.
The boys had mixed results with the A team winning 2 and losing 4 from the games they played. The B team won 2, drew one and lost 3.
Congratulations to the girls who had a fantastic day. The B team won every game and blitzed the competition. Thanks to Megann Hunt for coaching and managing the team on the day. The A team also had an amazing day with 4 wins and two narrow losses. Thanks to Mr Burke for assisting with the Year 6 girls’ team.

**Egg-Citing News From Our Chook House! 🥚**
There has been a flurry of excitement lately!
One of our beloved chickens—whether it's Henny, Goldie, or Rosey, we are not quite sure—has laid her very first egg!
Our Pre Primary children are simply over the moon with anticipation and they have been diligently keeping an eye on the laying boxes in eager expectation of more eggs to come. The possibilities seem endless as they dream up scrumptious breakfasts, delightful cookies or even savory omelettes with this very first egg! Stay tuned for the delicious adventures that await in our little corner of the world!

Self regulation - Managing challenges
"It is only when children come up against things that are frustrating or challenging or difficult, that they enter into an emotional response that allows them to try on the things that are tough, figure out how to manage and self-regulate around that, and come out the other side"
