Senior Photo Submission for the Yearbook
Senior Student ID Cards
Serving DETENTION @ Eastview
Students can begin serving detentions that have been earned recently or in the past. We currently are in the process of updating Campus with Detentions not served from last year and students should be able to review the number of detentions they have in Campus by Monday, Sept. 12th.
Afternoon Detention can be served on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:40-4:00pm in C135. A morning Detention from 6:30-7:35am in Student Services is another option Monday-Friday.
Detentions need to be served within two weeks of notice or additional consequences and restricted opportunities may result. Thank-you for your assistance in holding your student accountable.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
New: $20 iPad Protection Plan - Deadline Sept 19
The deadline to purchase the $20 iPad Protection Plan is Monday, September 19th. The plan protects families against the cost of repairs or replacements. A reduced fee is available for families who qualify for the Educational Benefits Program (formerly known as the free and reduced lunch program), so it is highly recommended to apply online for that program first in order to have the discount applied when purchasing the protection plan.

New: PSAT Registration Is Open Until Tuesday, September 20 Or Until Full
LESS THAN 50 SPACES REMAIN, REGISTER TODAY!
On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2022, Juniors at EVHS are encouraged to take the PSAT/NMSQT exam. (High achieving Sophomores are also encouraged to take the PSAT as practice only.) The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) provides feedback about college-readiness, is excellent practice for the SAT, and is also used by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to determine National Merit Scholarship recipients in the class of 2024.
Test Date: Wednesday, October 12, 2022
Time: 8:00-11:45 a.m.
Location: Eastview High School
Registration opens Wednesday August 31st and closes Tuesday September 20, or when registration is full.
The cost is $30.00. Registration and payment must be made through MyPaymentsPlus.
IMPORTANT: After students have registered, students can come to the Counseling office during their 5th period to pick up their PSAT Official Student Guide. This guide has important PSAT Information, Test-taking advice and tips and an official practice test.
Your students EVHS test site location will be communicated via email and Schoology by Friday, October 7th, 2022.

Baseball Info Parent Meeting
Eastview Baseball will hold a Parent Informational Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 20th at 7:00pm in C250. This meeting will give parents an opportunity to meet Coach Strey, ask questions, and receive important baseball information for the upcoming school year and baseball season.

Athletics Scoreboard
The Eastview Girls Cross Country team competed at the Mayo Invite yesterday. Both team finished 2nd overall. Seven people set all time personal records. On Varsity Sonja Olson, Emily Percival and Hadley Knight all broke through the 20 minute barrier. For the JV squad, Vivi Kaste let the race most of the way. Eva Zimmerman, Emily Ward and Abby Ward were all in the top 10!

National Art Honor Society (Art Club) Meeting

Clue Tickets on Sale Now
By Sandy Rustin. Based upon the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth - the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out...WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

FCA Meetings
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is meeting on Monday nights with the kickoff event on Monday September 19th! It is a great place for teens to learn more about their Christian faith and have a fun community to hang out with! FCA meets every other week: Sept 19th, Oct 3rd, 17th from 7:00-8:30 at South Suburban Church, Johnny Cake Ridge Rd.
