Shannon's Toolbox of Digital Tools and Apps to Support Student Learning - Can it make a difference?
Our goal in bringing Shannon Miller to Celeste ISD was to promote technology integration in the classroom. Her first 2.5 hour session with the elementary consisted of two parts with the first session giving Shannon’s backstory and the second session being a sharing of tech tools for the classroom. The elementary group was fortunate to see Shannon’s presentation in its entirety. Unfortunately, due to her scheduled departure, Shannon had only one hour with the secondary teachers, and the technology resource portion was very limited. We would like to encourage you to revisit Shannon’s slideshow which is packed with tech tools (over 400 slides) to integrate in your classroom. Please reach out if you need assistance with implementing these wonderful tech resources in your lessons. Within the last week, we have had several teachers share success stories in which Shannon’s technology resources have made a positive difference for students. That being said, we know that Celeste ISD teachers are doing great things in the classroom. As a matter of fact, your principals have shared some amazing classroom success stories with us! We want to hear from you, so we can tell our Celeste ISD story as well! Please contact us with the great things you are doing in your classroom to promote student voice. Let us know what innovative things you are doing to make a difference for students by giving them a voice to connect, collaborate, create, experience and access the world around them.

A Few Success Stories to Share
We have received positive feedback on the following digital programs: Adobe Express, Sketch Animated Drawings and Bloxels. Here is a photo of an animated figure created by an elementary student who drew himself using the Sketch program. The student was so excited to draw his own character on the computer and to make it move. He thought it was so cool, and he was ready to create more!
🙌 SHOUT OUT FOR THE GOOD STUFF 🙌
Adobe Express
Students in Mandy Willis' JH computer class will be making animated book trailers to promote reading with Animate from Audio
Bloxels
Students and the teacher created a character with Bloxels and they are learning to code in the activity. Great for problem solving!
Animated Drawings
Students draw a character on paper and upload an image of the drawing. The student can add animation with this program to make their character move around.
