Another productive week at Tustin Connect. Check out this week's newsletter for some details on Finals Week, new Spirit Wear, Trunk or Treat, and the latest on the new vaccine mandate announced by Governor Newsom. Our background this week features the staff photo celebrating our recognition as the Top Virtual Learning School in Orange County. Great communities make great schools. I am so excited to share all of the great things our PTA is working on. We have stylish new spirit wear with updated designs to go with a Trunk or Treat event on 10/28. Our first PTA General Meeting of the year is this Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

Finals week at the high school and PTA is sponsoring a weeklong snack fest for our students with a full spread on Wednesday. Maverick high schoolers, be sure to come by to take your finals and get your eat on!

If you haven't had a chance, please join us at the Dino Dash this year on Halloween, Sunday, October 31st. It's an awesome event and we'd love to get a group together. You can enroll at www.tpsf.net and TC gets $10 every enrollment.

Lastly, in case you didn't see it, TUSD posted an updated regarding the announcement from Governor Newsom. Here it is:

Today Governor Newsom announced that the COVID-19 vaccine will be added to the list of vaccinations required for students. It is a phased-in approach beginning with staff, as well as students 12 and older. It will not take effect until the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lifts its emergency-use authorization and grants full and final approval of the vaccine for children 12 to 15 years of age. Attached for your review is the governor’s order that was issued today.

We will keep you updated as we receive more information.

Exciting News for our Amazing PTA. We've got some great stuff coming up.

PTA General Meeting: Please join us at 7:30 pm this Wednesday, October 6th for our First PTA Meeting. This Zoom link will get you straight to the action.

Reflections Program: Please see the flyer below about the Reflections Art Program for our students. It's a great way to showcase your child's talents.

Monster Drive-In Trunk or Treat: Thursday, October 28th from 5-7 pm at the B Street Campus will be our TC's First Ever Trunk or Treat Event. Come dressed in costume or not, and enjoy the fun. See the flyer below or link for all of the details.

Spirit Wear: Our PTA has designed some super cool new spirit wear. Click the link to see the new design and to order.

Yearbooks: PTA will be working on yearbooks this year for TC students and families. Super exciting so be sure to get your picture taken on November 3rd!

Finally, I’d like to encourage you to make a difference by joining us in any way you can. From sending feedback, providing suggestions, sharing your talent, or taking on a large event, your support is necessary to our mission and it’s just another reason Tustin Connect thrives. For those new to TUSD, one of the great traditions is the Tustin Public School Foundations Dino Dash. The Dash celebrates its 30th year this year and will be held the morning of October 31st, Halloween. We would love to celebrate with as many TC families as possible. This is an awesome event and each registration purchased provides TC with $10 to spend on valuable supplies for the school from website subscriptions to outdoor equipment. Please consider attending and signing up. You can even purchase runner ships for students that may not be able to purchase one for themselves. You can register following this link. There's also a Logo Contest open to all middle/high school students. Check out the rules here.

It also has a link to our TUSD helpdesk where you can get help for a wide range of issues from iPads to Schoology,, apps and more. Check it out!
