Partnerships for Early Learners
Early Education at Framingham Public Schools offers Pre-K learning opportunities at four Partnerships for Early Learners locations for children the year before entering Kindergarten. Children must be 4 years old by August 31st.
In addition to BLOCKS Preschool (FPS), Framingham Public Schools is partnering with the MetroWest YMCA, Framingham State University - Centers for Early Childhood Education and Loving Nest Preschool; Partnerships for Early Learners (PEL). This is a Pre-K expansion program for Framingham-based families who are seeking to enroll their four year old children in an early education program the year before they enter Kindergarten. This expansion effort will increase accessibility to high quality early education with a focus on those who may not otherwise have access, resources, finances or opportunity.
Curriculum and instruction will be based on a school day, with extended day options available that will enhance social emotional learning. Program locations include the BLOCKS Preschool (FPS), the MetroWest YMCA, and Framingham State University - Centers for Early Childhood Education and Loving Nest Preschool. There is no guarantee of placement and the assigned program location will be based on a variety of factors pulled from the intake form.
The program runs from September 2024 - June 2025. Interested families are invited to submit the Pre-K Intake Form (linked below) and will need to meet eligibility criteria for acceptance.
If the interest exceeds the available openings, a lottery will take place in December to fill these Pre-K spots for children to attend before entering Kindergarten in September 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
