A message of gratitude from your superintendent
Dear Bremerton School District community:
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you.
I am thankful for the passion you bring to your work every day, the compassion you show to our students, and the camaraderie that defines our BSD community.
As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us reflect on the positive impact we have had on the lives of our students. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for the incredible people working tirelessly for every student in our district.
I wish each of you a joyful and restful Thanksgiving holiday filled with warmth, laughter, and the company of loved ones. Thank you for all that you do to make BSD a place where students thrive and dreams take flight - and for being bold, being brave, and being Bremerton.
With heartfelt gratitude,
James
PROUD Superintendent
Bremerton School District
EP&O levy and bond on the ballot in February
Replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy, which provides funding for educational programs and services like safety and security staff, classroom support, health services staff, and extracurricular activities. This levy replaces the existing EP&O levy which expires at the end of 2024 and accounts for 15% of our district's budget!
Bond to fund high-priority updates to school facilities, including the replacement and renovation of school buildings, many of which are beyond their usable life. This bond - the first on the ballot for the Bremerton School District in nearly 20 years - replaces the existing capital projects levy which expires at the end of 2024.
The District will be doing a community-wide information campaign over the next couple of months (dates/times/location coming soon!). Dr. Crawford and Dr. Steedman will be visiting all schools in the next couple of months to provide information on these funding measures.
We invite you to learn more at www.BremertonSchools.org/Levy-Bond and to review the important guidelines below for school staff who engage in school funding campaigns.

Reminder: Impact Aid forms due by winter break
NEW THIS YEAR! We will be collecting our Impact Aid surveys electronically through Family Access in Skyward.
Parents/guardians received an invitation from the District on October 16 to complete the process in Skyward.
Each electronic survey lists the names of all siblings. Only one form is required per family (not one per student as previously communicated.)
Paper surveys will be available for parents upon request (see your school's OC).
CLASSROOM INCENTIVE: As in the past, the District is offering the $100 classroom incentive for teachers that receive 100% return. 100% of the class surveys must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20 to qualify. The $100 award is to be spent on your classroom. Instructions will be provided to teachers who qualify for the incentive.
Classroom teachers: Please review this important Impact Aid information and contact Connie Long in the business office with any questions.
