Coyote Update
Chandler Early College High School Vol 2 Issue 4
🌴 Scaringelli's Segment ⚾
Welcome Back Coyote Families!
I hope that everyone had a refreshing and rejuvenating break. Although I worked a lot over the break, I was able to enjoy a weekend at the beach and Diamondbacks baseball! We are looking forward to tomorrow when our hallways will be filled with smiles and laughter again.
What an amazing first quarter we had at CEC. All of the staff saw how hard our students worked and are so proud of their successes. As we move into quarter 2, we will continue to work on group success and understand how important relationships are at school. We believe in our group dynamics and the harmonious interactions that we have at CEC. Students have showed D.I.P (Dignity, Integrity, Perseverance) throughout the school and it has made a huge difference in our culture.
This quarter we will once again put an emphasis on our school phrase:
"I believe in you, "I believe in myself"
Having the attitude that even if it is hard, you will never give up; because when you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
CEC staff believes in each and everyone of our students. As we work alongside of you, we will be their champion!
Finally, we wanted to celebrate our first quarter award winners:
Adaptability: Destin
Collaboration: Eric
Communication: Jace
Critical Thinking: Michael
Empathy: Allie
Global Citizenship: Kai
English: Madison
Mathematics: Grace
Science: Logan M.
Social Studies: Danny

CONGRATULATIONS! All of our winners received a goodie bag, but will officially be celebrated on December 8th, along with our Quarter 2 winners with a celebratory breakfast. They will each receive a certificate and CEC shirt.

Seniors! It's not too early to start thinking about Senior Quotes and Pictures. Your quote should be inspirational and be seen as an opportunity to provide words of encouragement to the classes that will follow you. Some guidelines:
- Nothing that could be considered offensive, questionable, or inappropriate for a school setting
- No language that denigrates another person’s character, ethnicity, religious/political beliefs, sexuality, gender, physical or mental ability, etc.
- No derogatory comments about the school, students, faculty, or staff members

I will be assisting students to register for their spring CGCC classes this week. CGCC has created a new process for our students (hoping it is easier). Any student who is interested in attending college classes next semester, must see me this week.
Mental Health Toolkit is starting next week and will be going for 3.5 weeks (every Monday and Wednesday at lunch).
What is ECAP:
On February 25, 2008 the Arizona State Board of Education approved Education and Career Action Plans for all Arizona students grades 9-12. An ECAP (Education and Career Action Plan) reflects a student’s current plan of coursework, career aspirations, and extended learning opportunities in order to develop the student’s individual academic, career goals and postsecondary plans.
Civics testing will be on November 13th for all juniors and those seniors who have not taken it. This is an Arizona graduation requirement. More information to come.

A BIG Thank You From CEF
CEF Generates Record-Breaking Support For CUSD Schools
Thanks to the generous contributions from our community partners and families, as well as the efforts of our dedicated educators and volunteers, the Chandler Education Foundation (CEF) https://www.chandleredfoundation.org/ has raised nearly $300,000 over the past two months in support of the Chandler Unified School District!
CEF, an independent nonprofit organization, is on a mission to ignite community support for educational opportunities that pave the way for lifelong success for CUSD students. This is possible through our annual Cash for Classrooms campaign in August and the Golf Tournament & Fundraiser in September, events that rally our local community to generate supplemental funding for classroom resources, scholarships, crisis assistance, teacher training, and more. These funds will also support the record-breaking 150 grant applications we received from teachers for initiatives that further provide a strong foundation for student success.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated, participated, volunteered, and supported these efforts. Keep an eye out for updates on these funds that continue to drive academic excellence in your child’s school!
