Term 4 already!
A warm welcome back after a well-deserved break, and a particular welcome to new families joining us this term.
By now, you should have received a copy of our key dates (also included in a link below). As you'll see, there's a wide range of fun, engaging learning opportunities and activities to look forward to ahead as we embark on the final term of the school year.
As you'll be aware, hats are a requirement from now on, and we also recommend sunscreen is applied in the morning as we head into warmer months.
The election will no doubt be top of mind for most this week - as a school we will of course be looking carefully at the inevitable education policy implications for the government ahead (whatever the outcome).
For our part, many of the proposals from major parties will likely broadly align with areas in which we already have significant strengths and established practice. Curriculum development is very much a part of our ongoing professional business, particularly as a Normal School invested in quality teacher training, and change is very much part of our ongoing work as educators.
Time will tell, but we can be confident that - whatever lies ahead - our focus will continue to be on delivering quality educational outcomes as part of our vision for learners who are 'wide-eyed and enthusiastic about learning'. That, at least, is one constant you can be sure of in the midst of the political cycle.
In the meantime, all the best for a great term ahead!
