We can't thank you enough! Parents, donors, volunteers, teachers/staff, sponsors, students -- everyone! Because of your efforts, we didn't just meet our goal of raising $20,000; we BEAT it!

We ended up raising more than $25,000!!

And there's no better way to celebrate (besides fulfilling some grants and making improvements around campus) than throwing a bunch of colors on the principals, right?!

The kiddos will get to celebrate our success by "Painting the Principals" on the 15th during a mini color run. So fun!

*The backup date for "Painting the Principals" will be the 18th.

What Time: 7 p.m.

This is our fall grants meeting. Teachers/staff have two opportunities throughout the year to submit grant requests to CMEA. This includes items such as supplement curriculum, supplies for the classroom, field trips, tools for teachers/staff, etc. We will be reviewing the grants submitted for the fall semester. And there are some really great ones! You don't want to miss it!

Please share your fun CME moments with our Copper Mesa Yearbook Committee at coppermesayearbook@gmail.com to help us create the most memorable yearbook. We would love to see photos from Boosterthon, Back to School Night Celebration, cool painted Spirit Rocks, or anything else you've captured. Be sure to include your student’s grade and teacher with each submission.

We are able to do so many events and fundraisers for our school because of the wonderful volunteers we have. If you are interested in helping our efforts, please let us know by completing our online form and indicating the areas you would like to help us with this year: Volunteer Form.

Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are currently looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, and our Spring Fundraiser. If you would like to volunteer with CMEA in any of these areas, please let us know.

Volunteer With the CMEA

Do you like labeling? Do you watch videos of people organizing their homes? Are you slightly obsessed with "The Home Edit"? Join us as we dig through years of Copper Mesa history by cleaning up and organizing the CMEA shed! Let us know you're interested and when you have availability.

Volunteer to Show Off Your Organizational Skills

This volunteer will be responsible for gathering milk caps from the collection bin by the front office when it's full. Once you've picked up the full bag 2-3 times, you coordinate with Longmont Dairy for porch pickup from your home using their redemption form. Longmont Dairy then sends a check to Copper Mesa. How easy is that?! We will provide you with the form and contact info.

Sign Up to Provide Classroom Pictures

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

COPPER MESA YEARBOOK

Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, the Spirit Rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year, our total donation received is typically in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so. It’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

1. Visit kingsooperscommunityrewards.com.
2. Sign in or register with your King Soopers card or phone number.
3. Click on Enroll.
4. Search by school code (AB638) or organization name (Copper Mesa Elementary School - CMEA).

RENT THE ROCK!

Don’t forget to reserve the Spirit Rock for your special dates! Sign up HERE for the date you need and submit payment through MySchoolBucks or drop off cash/checks at the front office.

**Please remember: Reservations do not begin until 4:00 pm the day prior to your reservation. Rock painting should not begin prior to 4:00 p.m. We appreciate your cooperation.**

MILK CAPS FOR MOOLA

We are collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps again this year. There is a box near the front office desk where you can deposit them. Thank you!

SPIRIT WEAR

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
