A Few Words from the Principal
Hard to believe that quarter one is over, but it was very exciting to see all of the learning that happened. We are looking forward to what second quarter brings.
The start of second quarter also brings the start of basketball season. Please help your student remember that if they plan on attending a home game they need to report to the commons right after school and sign-in. The students will then enter the gym together prior to the game beginning. If a student leaves the building and wants to return for the game they will need an adult to enter the game with them. Thank you for supporting our students and keening them safe.
Take care,
Jennifer Smith
Principal
If your student shares with you that they are being bullied, please reach out to us here at MTMS or complete the online reporting form:

Saluting our Veterans
We would like to recognize the veterans near and dear to us here at Monticello Trails Middle School on Veteran's Day. Please take a few minutes to share the names of relatives that are veterans or are actively serving to protect our country and freedoms.
Friday, November 10, we would like to invite those service people that are nearby to join us for donuts and a short celebration starting at 7:45am.
Please clink on the link below to provide us with the names of relatives that are veterans or are actively serving to protect our country and freedoms. As well as to RSVP for those service people who will be joining us for our celebration on November 11.
Please have these submitted by November 1 to allow for us to finalize plans.

Student Council's diaper drive for HappyBottoms, Kansas City's diaper bank, continues through October 31. You can help us meet our goal by bringing in baby wipes or children's diapers of any size. Let's meet a need and help families keep their children clean, dry, and healthy.
No Jazz Band Until Further Notice. More information to come soon.

Hello Timberwolf Families,
Our “Just Give It” Fundraiser continues this week! You might be wondering, why is it called “Just Give It”? Instead of asking students to sell and deliver products, we are asking families to save their time and make a donation where 100% of the amount you give goes directly to our amazing school.
Our fundraising goal is $15,000. This amount will help us meet our budgeted goals of funding teacher grants, field trip transportation, student socials, staff appreciation, conference meals, 8th grade farewell t-shirts, student rewards and much more! While any amount is greatly appreciated, we suggest a donation amount of $25/student. Any donation above and beyond this amount would fill in the gaps and help us get to our ultimate fundraising goal for this year. Recurring payments are also available if you would like to split up your payment.
Donating is easy! Text WOLVESPTA to 53555 or scan the QR code for a link to our site. Our fundraiser will be live through Friday, November 3. Please feel free to share our link with loved ones and businesses who might be interested in helping. Don’t forget, we are a 501-c3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible, and some employers will match what you give. Email us if you need records for your company.
Donating not only helps our school but enters you into a raffle for donated prizes. The grade with the highest amount raised at the end of the two weeks will also win a prize! Here are the standings so far:
1st: 7th Trailblazers
2nd: 8th Explorers
3rd: 6th North
4th: 8th Contenders
5th: 7th Navigators
6th: 6th South
