Principal's Note
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We are thrilled to announce our celebration of Black History Month! This is a time for us to honor and explore the significant contributions and achievements of Black individuals who have played pivotal roles in shaping our country's history and culture. Our students will be engaging in a variety of activities and lessons throughout the month, aimed at elevating and recognizing Black excellence. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about the impactful stories and achievements of many important figures in our history.
To further commemorate this important month, we warmly invite you to attend our Black History Month assembly on February 29th at 8 AM. This assembly is a key highlight of our celebrations, offering an immersive experience into the rich and diverse contributions of the Black community. It's a time for our school community to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the enduring spirit and achievements of Black Americans. We hope to see you there, sharing in this significant and enriching experience with us.

Library with Mrs. Zuelsdorf 📖
- In Kindergarten, we've been reading some more winter stories. They even got to go on a "yeti" hunt in the library to search for the hiding yetis!
- First grade has also been reading winter themed stories, while learning about how to put words in ABC order.
- Second grade read one of my favorite books, "The Day the Crayons Quit" and worked on a little opinion writing about which crayon color is the best. They also got to explore directional coding within Google slides.
- Third grade worked on research using PebbleGo. We read "You Don't Want a Unicorn" and then they chose an animal they wouldn't want as a pet, researched it, and wrote their reasons why you wouldn't want that animal as a pet.
- Fourth grade learned about the importance of not believing everything you hear or see online and also got to use Ozobots (coding robots) to learn about the Lunar New Year.
- Fifth grade worked on a Google Slide scavenger hunt and learned about all sorts of new tools that they can use in Google Slides.
